Competitive ratio analysis is another popular used tools by analysts today.

This analysis involves comparing the company’s ratios with another company in the same industry. Alternatively, you can also compare the ratios with the industry average ratios, if applicable.

An industry average ratio is calculated by dividing the total ratios of all companies in the same industry with the number of company within the industry.
